How It Works

Your grade point average (GPA) is the credit-weighted average of the grade points earned in each course. For every course, the letter grade (or percentage) is converted to grade points on a 4.0 scale, multiplied by the course's credit hours, and the total is divided by the number of credits:

GPA = Σ (grade points × credits) ÷ Σ credits

  • Unweighted GPA — Every course is graded on the same 0–4.0 scale regardless of difficulty.
  • Weighted GPA — Honors courses add 0.5 and AP / IB courses add 1.0 grade point (up to a 5.0 maximum), rewarding harder classes. Toggle Weighted GPA and pick a course type per row.
  • Percentage conversion — Switch to Percent mode to enter numeric scores; the approximate percentage for your overall GPA is also shown.
  • Automatic saving — Courses are stored in your browser's localStorage, so they persist when you return. Nothing is sent to a server.
